Cofilmic judges Sketch Screen 2014

In the hunt for great British sketch comedy, it isn’t enough to just be on the lookout for live sketch comedy acts. The next Monty Python could come from anywhere and there’s a growing surge of sketch groups who are just creating videos and filmed sketches. We like to call them video sketch groups.

So for 2014, we’ve setup Sketch Screen – a curation of videos from different sketch groups around the UK. Brining you little gems and short wonders, Sketch Screen seeks out the best sketch comedy talent in film.

For the inaugural Sketch Screen we are partnering with COFILMIC, a talent network focused on nurturing comedy talent across TV, Film and live performance, that produces its own festival, competitions and courses.

We’re thrilled to be working with such an organisation, helping discover and develop British comedy talent and we hope to build on this partnership in the future.

For Sketch Screen 2014, COFILMIC will be judging a selection of entries, offering prizes to a winner and runner up:

The Winner will receive automatic entry into the COFILMIC festival in October and a Sketch Screen winner badge.

The Runner Up will receive free submission to the COFILMIC festival in October.

Sketch Screen will be taking place at London SketchFest on Sunday 4th May at 9pm. Entry is free and audience will get a chance to vote for their favourite video sketch. The night will also feature a special headlining sketch group, who will be performing throughout the event.
