Sketch Scribe comedy writer's competition

In the hunt for great sketch comedy London SketchFest is going back to where it all begins – the writer’s room.

For 2015 we’re launching a new competition called Sketch Scribe, open to sketch and comedy writers to help shine a light on raw and undiscovered talent.

From written sketch submissions, we'll be picking 10 scripts and have them perfromed live by a sketch super-troupe (a sketch troupe made up of other well-known sketch troupes) in front of a panel of industry judges. The winner will receive a one-on-one mentoring session with professional comedy script editor and consultant Andrew Ellard (The IT Crowd, Red Dwarf, Cardinal Burns, Vic & Bob’s House of Fools, The Midnight Beast).

Judges for 2015 include:

Simon Nelson, BBC Writer's Room Development Producer
Andrew Ellard, Comedy Script Editor
Ben Worsfield, Lucky Giant Development Producer
Lucy Robinson, Little Comet Producer
