Searching for the hottest new acts in sketch comedy, London SketchFest hosts a competition each year for new and unsigned performers. Judged by a panel of leading industry professionals, these are the best young acts around, performing 20-minutes each for the ‘Best New Act’ award.

The first Competition Show on Friday features 4 new and unsigned acts: O’Shea & O’Gaukroger, Flip and Maggie, Minor Delays and Daphne.

Alongside the Judges panel, the audience will also have a chance to vote for their favourite act, helping to decide the Audience Choice Award.

 
This Glorious Monster + So On and So Forth

FRIDAY NIGHT FEATURE

Presenting a double-bill with two of sketch comedy's most prevalent acts. This Glorious Monster, an act famed for their stunningly slick online videos, open with a feast weaving live and recorded sketches marking their debut festival performance. Following on from them, So On & So Forth take to the stage to deliver their refined breed of sketch comedy, in celebration of their upcoming Radio 4 series.

In the hunt for great comedy we're going back to where it all starts: The Writer's Room.

Sketches from x10 new comedy writers will be performed live by a super-troupe of sketch comedians in front of a panel of industry judges. The winner receives a one-to-one mentor session with a professional script editor. 

Expect hilarious comedy in the making as our super-troupe tackle scripts from the minds of budding young writers.

London SketchFest's Solo Series presents some of the most interesting one-man and one-woman wonders that we've scouted from the live comedy scene.

Solo sketch and character comedians take to the stage with 30-minute sets, open free to the public to introduce them to some of the UK's weirdest and wildest comedians. Expect comedy's slightly more eccentric side and discover some the UK's wonderful new talent.

Presenting starlets of the sketch comedy scene in a double-bill show boasting supremely talented performers throughout. Critically-acclaimed newcomers Massive Dad open, famed for offering a breath of fresh air into traditional material and showing how sketch comedy is always good in the right hands. The second half stars Hennessy & Friends, a prized sketch group destined for TV either with or without each other. Though probably with each other.

In Cahoots + The RH Experience

SUNDAY HEADLINE FEATURE

Presenting a double-bill of two of the finest acts whose origins in comedy improv make them super-powered sketch machines. Opening the show are In Cahoots, a duo constantly at edge but always in sync, who fire off of each other with an electric energy. Then taking to the stage The RH Experience set off on an epic journey as three strangers stuck in lift are forced to tell their life story based on audience suggestions. Improv sketch at its wildest.

 
Gein's Family Giftshop + Late Night Gimp Fight

SUNDAY CLOSING FEATURE

Presenting a double-bill of the darkest and most filthy award-winning sketch comedy in a closing show set to finish everyone off! Opening the show, last year's Best New Act winners Gein's Family Giftshop return to bring us an extra long lashing of their murderously good comedy. Following them headliners Late Night Gimp Fight arrive to finish the festival off by any means necessary, through song, sketch and gimp.

An evening screening of the funniest comedy videos from some of the UK's top comedy talent. 

In association with COFILMIC, a selection of comedy sketches will be screened in front of a panel of judges and hosted by sketch duo Revan and Fennell as we look out for the funniest video and award its winner a chance to shoot a brand new video with comedy director Dipak Patel.
